Gleaning For The World is anticipating an active hurricane season as the NOAA predicts 14 storms to develop and 7 to become major hurricanes. The magnitude of storms predicted will affect the livelihood of many people,  not only in the coastal regions, but inland. Help us to help you prepare.

Gleaning is reaching outside of its Central Virginia location and is going On the Road with Victory FM to the East coast to partner with churches as a local mission. The goal of this project is to create new partnerships with other ministries and collect a truck load of humanitarian aid that may be used and distributed directly back into communities in times of disaster.

Supplies that are needed include non-perishable food, personal care items, baby products, cleaning supplies, and paper products. Click here to see the detailed list: Hurricane Supply Donation List 2010

We are scheduled to be in Virginia Beach at Atlantic Shores Baptist Church on Kempsville Road on Friday, August 13th from 1 p.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturday, August 14th from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Keep in touch with Gleaning as we schedule this road trip. If you or your ministry are interested in partnering with our On the Road project, contact us at info@gftw.org | 434-993-3600 | 1-877-913-9212.
