Nearly 400 families in Virginia are picking up the pieces from last Friday’s fierce storms. Two tornadoes touched down, destroying 31 homes and severely damaging over 300 more in Pulaski County.

This disaster took place in the most impoverished area of Pulaski. The magnitude of the storm left 1,760 people without power or heat. Many of these families were left without food, clothing, money and insurance to rebuild.

They have nowhere else to go – they need your help.

Gleaning For The World is actively providing aid and support to these hurting families. Within eight hours of learning the immediate needs, Gleaning rushed 104,000 pounds of aid, including bottled water, green tea, blankets, cleaning supplies and personal care items to recovering families.

Two additional tractor-trailer loads will be sent this week. Gleaning will provide additional aid as needed, but we need your help.

Gleaning For The World provided three tractor-trailer loads of bottled water, tea, snacks, blankets and cleaning supplies to storm victims. Gleaning is prepared to send more aid as needed.
