Gleaning For The World has shipped over 2,500 tractor-trailer loads of critically needed emergency relief supplies. From protein powder to medical necessities, GFTW is working all over the world to help the poorest of the poor.
GFTW is highly efficient and as of December 2011, they were rated as the most efficient charity in America by Forbes Magazine. One hundred percent of every dollar that is donated goes directly to help those in need. In fact, Gleaning is able to provide over $200 worth of supplies for every $1 donated. In 2011, the charity worked in 18 countries and 14 U.S. states, responding to earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, flooding, poverty, war and famine. They have placed nearly $500,000,000 in blankets, personal care items, food and other necessities since opening their doors 13 years ago.
