Gleaning For The Children

One of our favorite annual projects involves sending Christmas gifts to partners in Central and Latin America dedicated to the care of children living in orphanages. In nearly 200 homes spread across 10 countries thousands of children receive love, nourishment, care and an education.

In order to provide gifts at Christmas time, Gleaning collects enough toys throughout the year to fill an entire tractor trailer load. We make sure to send it well in advance of the holiday, so it can arrive in time for Christmas.

This year, we were blessed to send 2 tractor trailer loads to our partners. Combined, we provided bouncy balls, dolls, action figures, toys, games, and over 14,000 stuffed animals!

These toys will be given as gifts to the children during the homes’ Christmas celebrations. It is our prayer that the children whom many would consider “the least of these” will come to know the Lord Jesus because of the sharing of the gospel and God’s love through these gifts at Christmas.

Gleaning’s international work includes special shipments like these, and more, each year. Every donation we receive supports our mission of helping people and sharing God’s love with those in need all around the world. Would you consider giving a donation today to help us continue our mission?

Online donations can be made by clicking here, and donations by check can be mailed to GFTW PO Box 645, Concord, VA 24538. As always, we appreciate your support.
