Tornado Relief In Tennessee

The images of destruction from yesterday morning’s tornado in Nashville, TN and surrounding counties have replayed in my mind since I first saw the news.

Devastating stories of residents still searching for loved ones, stories about the 25 victims, children and adults, who have died as a result of this storm, and the stories of those who have lived through it break my heart. As you can imagine, they’ve just experienced one of the most traumatic events a person can go through.

Our prayers are lifted for the residents of middle Tennessee. Our prayers are lifted, and our team has been in motion, starting our response effort yesterday. This morning we began a collection at our local Sam’s Club on Ward’s Road in Lynchburg, VA to collect emergency supplies and shelter items.

In addition to emergency relief supplies we’re also in need of financial donations to support this effort. Please visit GFTW.org/tn-tornadoes to learn more, or press the red button below to give a financial donation. As is the case with any disaster relief effort at Gleaning, 100% of your donation will be used directly as it is intended: to help cover the costs associated with getting relief supplies to Tennessee.

Let’s work together to help those in need right now. Please donate if you are able.

In service and partnership,
