Houston Flooding

Continuing Outreach To Suffering Families

HOUSTON FLOODING: Continuing Outreach

The Houston area has been hit again with massive flooding.  It was only a few weeks ago when Texas and Louisiana suffered through a record level of flooding.  That flood was so high that it covered major bridges and closed major interstate routes.  Now,  Houston has been hit again and more rain is coming.  More than 1,000 homes have been destroyed and the storm has caused more than $5 Billion in damages.  The current flood waters are now starting to recede, but local forecasters are expecting an additional 2-3 inches of rain over the next few days.

We have been able to provide four shipments of relief supplies so far and are coordinating the delivering of several shipments of construction materials to assist with the rebuilding process.

In addition, we are still working with officials in Appomattox to coordinate the long term recovery efforts there, as well as, reaching out to partners in Ecuador and Japan, both of which have been hit with devastating earthquakes in the recent days.

We are reaching out to thousands of families here at home, across the country, and around the world.  Thank you for partnering with us!
